This website is dedicated to celebrating life through poetry, especially its lyrical forms. In doing so, we show respect for the best in humanity and honor the creative impulses that lift and inspire our lives.
The Purple Scooter Poetry site presents posthumously the work of a gifted writer, Genevieve Wood. It is also a place where the work of other artists is shown, and where adults and kids can stop by for a poetic flower—to explore, to learn, to discover wonders within themselves, to indulge their imaginations, to share and contribute and illuminate their own worlds. The content will change from time to time and gradually involve visitors in different ways.
Why the name Purple Scooter Poetry? It is part of the title of a remarkable book for young adults and grownups, Once Upon A Purple Scooter, written by Genevieve Wood. It is also the name of a new imprint under which poetry is being published. Both the imprint and the website are named in her honor.
There are many fascinating poetry websites on the Internet. We provide links to some of them. We believe we are offering something unique and interesting and hope you will agree.
